No AD2P on the Bluetooth

Can't share ANY (mp3, images,videos....) files via bluetooth

Can't use as a wireless modem, (you pay ridiculous data charges to activate internet on your phone, but cannot connect it to your PC and browse when you are at home)

No video recording with camera,

Cannot send MMS.

Can't use as external storage device (16 GB of utter waste..next time you go to your friend's house & find some interesting songs, movies, etc...sorry you cannot connect your '16 GB' phone and share it!!!! Apple apparently has a solution.. " BUY MUSIC & MOVIES FROM iTUNES STORE "..... Give me a break will you APPLE!!!)

Can't use your mp3 files as ringtones,(This is heights man!!!)

Cannot insert any other SIM card

Completely tied to iTunes... Connect to your friend's iTunes & you risk erasing everything on your phone.

Bro

I have the Iphone since October last year.

All of the above is FALSE.

There are software avaiable through which you can achieve all this.

Try googleing " APP Installer" .

All the other extraordinary features are true.

I personally believe you cannot compare iphone to a Nokia.

It has a long way to go before it can catch up with it.

Our sleuth hiding in one of the Airtel offices has discovered something important which we all had been waiting for the past 2 weeks. In a short breath he spilled some juicy details on iPhone 3G pricing as well as on other things. The 8GB iPhone 3G will cost in a price bracket of Rs. 15,000 ($350) – Rs. 18,000 ($420) and 16GB will be close (mostly under) to Rs. 30,000 ($700). So let us please trash the previous pricing rumors. However, the contractual details are still unclear.

The iPhone 3G’s monthly rent will be under Rs. 1000 (~900). That’s expensive but worthy to give you one of the best browsing experience. Unlike normal Airtel users visiting Airtel Live!, iPhone users will have an exclusive portal. We just hope it’s not an optimized version of Airtel Live! though.

Lastly, on a marketing note, Airtel will pitch the 16GB more by luring people with some enticing offers. The 8GB does not get this benefit.

:) that sounds acceptable for iphone lovers, i guess

I would rather go for Openmoko openmoko.com available in India from IDA Systems - Home

But I am hooked to CDMA for the last 4 years, so no chance.

No video calling...
..
list goes on & on & on
We Indians are used to these features. Most of our phones already have these features. & we cannot do with out them.... i mean can you imagine paying so much for a phone with which you cannot transfer files via bluetooth. what age is this ...STONE AGE???

If someone wants all these features he can opt for wither N95 8 gb or N96. They are both reliable and very good + Symbian has got end number of applications. So njoy!:)

I wouldnt count much on this rumor :) Its just another blog spot and dont expect anybody to sell the models with so much of price difference. In todays market 8GB of chip capacity aint that expensive.

Is the 2g 2.01 f/w jailbroken yet ?

I'm still trying to figure out any easy way to update to v2.0 from 1.1.1

Ya I have 2.0.1 now and IT IS better. The keyboard lag is fixed and the phone crashes rarely. But still a little unstable.

BTW, 2.0.2 is already out and i have downloaded it. Just waiting for the iphone Dev team to unlock this one and then will give a review of 2.0.2

4GB iphone? No 4GB model in 3G version??

Well then its the old model iphone 1, but i seriously doubt that.

Why not? We dont really need the iPhone 3G here. I think the old one at much lower prices makes a lot of sense.

But didnt they stop making the old stock? There is no 4Gb version available elsewhere.
Do you think that they would be introducing this to capture the cheap guys? If so then what will separate the premium fellows from the cheap one?
