It amazing, 14.4 means a lots, your hand-eye-brain coordination is excellent, seems like you are going to get in range of 10 sec, I am still struggling to go past 16.7, I need to start playing more so my hand eye and brain get in sync. |
Thanks Pramod! Latest timing is a 12.49!
Friend of mine a record of 12.197072 secs :p
Fortunately, that was on
my phone, so now I have bragging rights :D

So i finally upgraded to 2.1, but i find the phone a bit slower now.
When i click on anything the window pops up fast but the content takes much longer to load than it did on v1.1.1. Even if it is just an SMS that i am opening up.
This lag/delay is very annoying...Anyone else experience this ? |
I agree - the delay is damn annoying. Waiting for improvements in 2.2 or else I am going back to 2.0.2
friends...i was enquiring for a 3G 8GB phone in the grey market. There are quoting 29+ at heera panna...I do not see any value add for a couple of thousands to buy it in the grey. What is your take please??? & any better price offerings that you would be aware of?

32100 for 8GB, 36950 for 16GB unlocked, good option if somebody wants to use with BSNL or something. ie if one can manage to find one in stock, buy it in HK and get it to India.
guys, i would be buying the iphone 3g from vodafone. please tell me what is the latest price of the 8gb version. i know that after the price reduction its around 29.5k but can i get any further discounts.
also there are 2 post paid plans on offer, is it compulsory to take one of those as i already have a postpaid connection, cant i use my current post paid plan with the iphone.
A walk to the Vodafone store is highly recommended, the price you have mentioned is the one last reported and they are offering EMI schemes. Your existing sim card should work, and plan i feel can be retained.
On the other hand, AirTel iPhone can be officially unlocked on completion of 1 year.
hey guys was just thinking. what if i buy a 3g in the us for $300 and bring it to india. unlock it over here and use it. is it possible? or do we have to sign up with at&t and pay more or something?

Its 199$ for 8gb there, if this method was possible the iPhone 3g would be flooded all over the place, like the previous iPhone.
Now you must sign a contract at the store itself to get the phone so no way to evade this anymore.
Although, i do hear that apple might go back to the sign up at home policy of the previous iPhone.
Keep your fingers crossed...

Yes you have to pay more for the contract. Check AT&T site for details.

Yes obviously... you pay almost 100$ a month depending on the plan you choose.
Besides you need a US social security number to sign it too.
You only get the $199 price if you qualify for it. I think you have to be an existing AT&T customer of good standing.
Also the 3G iPhone has not yet been unlocked. So it wont work in India, unless you use the simcard hacks.
Easiest way is to get one from Hong Kong. But they cost about $700.
