I dont think you will find much help here. If it is for ICE them I think you are on the right place.

Those are kickass drivers. Probably better than scanspeak revelators. You should look at the Seas Excel range for the midrange. Are you gonna design the speaker from scratch? I'd be really interested in knowing how this project pans out.

I doubt you'd find any on tbhp. Why don't you try diyaudio.com. There are some seriously helpful chaps in there. You'd probably have better luck there. However do keep us updated on the project.

I would compare these tweeters to ScanSpeak 9500 which I have used. The 9500 is one the smoothest of the SS tweeters (the 9900 and 9700 have more detail). Another good tweeter is the SEAS T25CF. If you are willling to look at steep (4th order XOs) the Fountek 2.0 / Aurum Cantus G2 are also options at this price range.

How big woofer you use (5 or 6") will depend how big a bookshelf you desire. All things remaingin equal a 6" will go about 10-15Hz lower than a 5". Vifa, Focal, SS, Seas all make good 5-6" woofers but the value leader is Usher.

There are a number of projects on the net ranging from Jim Griffins JX92/G2si system to John K's ZRT to Troels's Ellam. Why not consider them?

Out side of the "big boys" aka John K, Troels, John Murphy, Dave Ellis etc.. I dont think anyone else has compared the OWII to the SS or Seas or any other tweeter.

this project uses the OWII with a Focal 5"
AVS Forum
Troels has used the OW with a Seas 15cm woofer
