Hello guys,

so i went out and bought a 8gb ipod touch at best buy ( for those who donot know what best buy is, its a electronics store in U S of A, specialised in selling over priced stuff and making customers pay more). this is the new one which is released on sept 9th.

Actually i bought the 1st gen ipod touch on 5th september,2008 just to feel how it is. I know that new ipods will be coming out in 4 days, but i still got one as i can return it back even though its open. I told the *HOT* girl http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/images...es/biggrin.gif at the counter it was having some battery problems( I am sorry stephanie ) because when i first called to find out refund policy they said they would not accept it, but i did not give up.

So i got the 8gb version as the 16gb versions are not available.

I came home opened the box ( while i was coming home i saw a moron driving a lambo like the road is his own and also its raining). It got a new packaging, clear case packaging.

so took it out. its really thin when compared to my friends 1st gen ipod touch, it may because of the rounded edges like the iphone 3g. connected it to my mac. it already has the 2.1 version update installed.

got all my songs, photos and applications synced.

so the positives :

1) size, really thin
2) speakers ( 1st gen did not have speakers, though the speakers are for "casual" listening)
3) keyboard really good
4) some really good addictive applications

its really good like the iphone 3g but with out phone.

now negatives

1) no A2DP bluetooth
2) i could not purchase videos and movies on the move i have to download them on computer and sync them
3) "COPY AND PASTE" APPLE PLEASE
4) some apps are not working on ipod touch

ex : shazam which will identify songs( most of them) and let you buy them through itunes . its free but does not work on ipod touch.

So the verdict. its very good. Buy it if you donot want to spend 35,000$ on iphone and you get more storage than iphone if you got 32gb version.

Sorry for booring long review

Excuse me if i wasted your precious time http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

oh and by the way when i was ogling at the girl i did not see that she added 39.99$ 2 year warranty which i donot need but i may need it as i drop things often

Abhi

iPod Touch 32GB 2nd Generation

A friend was coming down from the US & i told him to get the iPod touch for me. The 32GB version came for $428 all inclusive. I got on to iTunes & downloaded most of the free apps, do any of you guys know of any site where i can get free apps / cracks for the touch. Will post my review in a couple of days as i have just opened the packing today. Sure is a sleek device but after owning the Blackberry Bold, the display resolution pales in comparison. Still a very elegant product. More later...

P.S. Mods i could not find any post for the ipod touch, if there is please merge.
