hmm i wonder how many phones you have changed over the years!;)

just counted, only managed 9 phones till date :D what i meant was it didnt have much of business functionality and if i remember correct not even an expandable memory. Yup its rather sleek (not cute as i referred early) but thats it

abhibh - the contacts and all aren't on the memory card. They're on phone memory. That's the whole problem.
Mugen - The 6630 is conked otherwise i would've done it that way.

Lambo, try to sync it with computer. If only the display has conked, the phone will be recognized on the pc.

if the phone is conked, go to nokia service. They have the necessary tools to make phone partialy working if at all they can.

anybody knows if its an MMC card or and SD Card for this phone?

for all sony phones, its the Memory stick. There are variants such as Memory stick Duo ( MS Duo ), Memory stick micro ( generally written as M2 ).

As for the W810i, it uses MemoryStick Duo PRO and supports upto 2GB max.

Thinking of changing my 6681 for a HTC Touch, what do you guys think about the phone?

Steer, what say? Any other options in similar price range?

Ah the HTC touch. Jaggu has the phone and Sam has fooled around with it.

Ajmat swears he will never buy the phone even though it's from his company.:p

But seriously nice phone.

Yesterday a friend of mine was telling that you need to unlock HTC Touch, is that true? As in, it works only on airtel network and doesnt work with others. Can anyone confirm this? As far as the phone goes, its awesome, except for the on screen keyboard which is a pain.

Hmmmm..... so buy or no buy? Considering that I normally don't like touch screen phones as they are cumbersome to use while driving but now that I have a normal keypad phone (E50) to use, I was thinking maybe I could give touchscreen's another shot.

If you are not familiar or comfy with touch screen dont consider HTC.

Otherwise a good phone and whatever said about the puny texas instrument processor is not correct.

It hasnt hung so far with my usage and seems to be the most stable Windows CE version/device i have come across so far. Sam and gang had a ball turning on some 6-7 application simultaneously but the phone responded as normal when it came back to me.

HTC has done a good job with optimizing the software/hardware and has some really user friendly features added also.

ps: dont use phone while driving !!! :)

Jaggu,

does it work with Hutch and other networks?

Nope mine is a locked piece and will accept only Airtel sim card, atleast for first one year, though roaming it will work in other networks also.

Heard that Hutch is also trying to bring in the piece, and yes you can buy unlocked piece also, at a price.

Thanks a lot Jaggu, for the info! I think they said they are charging 2000 bucks to unlock it.

Oh I already know that, my best friend got one for himself from Bangkok & I've used it for a while & was thoroughly comfortable with it. Will look at the latest prices & then decide.

Thanks for the advice!
