Nokia Application Installer problem

I upgraded both the PC Suite as well as the Application Installer for my Nokia N70. I then installed Nokia maps on my phone, and unhappy with the result, want to uninstall the same.

I used the Application Installer to try and remove the maps software, but it shows the following error message for installed applications on my phone :

Quote:
The contents of the currently selected phone model cannot be shown by this application

A google search revealed that this issue is also faced for different phones for people who upgraded.

Any idea how to uninstall the Maps software, or even deal with this issue?

PC Suite Version : 7.1.30.9

Hi benbsb29,

Why dont u use bluetooth or use a card reader and transfer the sis file directly to your phone memory card.

I stopped using PC suit etc.. because it is highly unreliable. In fact u cant even upgrade your phone firmware and it keeps giving u error.

Regards,
Indy

PC Suite does not show the installed applications on the phone for most of the models including my N72.
The only way to uninstall an application is to do it from the application manager in the phone!
just browse to the desired application and choose remove.

N series phones are now supported by the Ovi suite too but I found the Ovi interface to be irritating and shifted back to PC Suite.

I've PC suite installed for my 9500 & E90. Updating the firmware was a breeze. Has never given me any problems.
