Yes, and I found original post somewhere else but posted link of Snopes before anyone else posts it. But the logic given here is not baseless.

One of my relative have had one such small incident when his old Nokia phone got damaged due to excessive heat inside the car. Thankfully he was driving the car at the time of incident so could the phone couldn't damage the car.

Fact is the lithium ion batteries are risky if kept in hot environment and we all know how hot the interiors of cars can get while parked in direct sunlight.

It will take some time when more robust batteries will be available in our small and slim smart gadgets : http://www.extremetech.com/computing...from-exploding

There are different names floating around the Internet; lollipop, lemon meringue pie, licorice etc.

Well, Google has released this video, so the release of L is very close.:)

Well, atleast it's confirmed that the next Android is version 5.0

What I can guess after watching the video is it looks like they are not going to name Android 5 on any of the option shown in the video.

So only left out option is Lollipop which was not shown in the video, which is oldest speculated title for the next Android version after Kitkat. :D

Let's see.

Yes, there will be a Customs issue, all international inbound packages pass through customs where duty needs to be paid by DHL. The delivery person will collect the duty before delivery!

Kind of urgent help needed. Can anyone please suggest a good phone which meets the below criteria

- Budget 18-20k
- Priority: the best battery backup with full time data usage
- Can be Android or Windows

Thanks in advance! :)

You might want to have a look at the HTC Desire 816.

Been using for last 1.5 months, satisfied with the phone including battery life.

Folks owning the Galaxy S3 (specifically i9300-INS) please tell me what stable ROM you are running on your phone? My current phone is such an unmitigated piece of trash I am totally fed up. For reasons of world peace and because I don't want to live out of the balcony, I must live with this piece of crap. Can anyone help me with the right ROM etc combo to make it a livable experience for the next one year?

Here's what I've tried and lost a lot of hair over.

Did you try slimkat ?
Its a perfect ROM for amoled screen phones and I am using it on my galaxy Nexus.

What's the significance of INS at end of the model number?

Have you tried Ultima Rom?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...phoon-t1911572

If not, then please give it a try. This was the best ever rom I've used in my i9300. It ll be smooth and snappy. It is currently on 4.4.2, but the dev Kryten has announced that he has started work for the 4.4.4 final release.

SlimKat is the Slim ROM I had mentioned.

Basically the indian S3 comes in two variants - INS and INU. Its mentioned on the box, just above the price tag.

Set Meta Data recursive error seems to be related to the version of the recovery that you are running.
Did you try moving to a newer version of the recovery ?
From google I can see this info that you need a CWM greater than v6.0.4.5.

I think the Moto X (1st Gen) is brilliant value at 18k. It runs super smooth, has really useful unique features and will get an update to Android L. Moto has also announced that it will get all the features of the new Moto X barring the IR related stuff. The only cons are the 16gb memory and probably the camera.

I have been using one for 7 months now and the battery lasts a day (15-16) hours with 3g on always and pretty heavy usage
