Devarshi

Those pics look like fakes to me. There are far too many inconsistencies between the two pics posted for this to be the image of a real phone.

Here's the list:

1. Video Camera is marked "VEDIO CAM" apart from the spelling mistake, no manufacturer uses slang on their products.

2. In pic 2 (Landscape mode with keyboard pulled out) the screen still shows a "virtual keyboard" icon which should disappear when the real keyboard is activated.

3. Space between the bluetooth and network LEDs shows a gap - probably for the speaker - in pic 1, but the gap is filled up in pic 2.

4. Pic 2 shows a charging icon on the screen, but we see no charger connected. Unless its been removed with photoshop, but I'd prefer to think the whole device is a photoshop invention.

The finish on the device is also too perfect to be real. Especially the Keys which should've seen some use at least.

Steeroid Following the phone industry for such a long time I had those same intuitions but Bargainpda.com has confirmed this news. www.bargainpda.com is one of the more reputed sites hence I posted this article here.

BTW siemens sxg75 which was rumoured to be built on BREW is running on linux with BREW OS and Siemens UI. THis phone has gps and an ati gpu. But I still find it to be a risky buy.

Is there any site which has the HTC road map? It will confirm if the news are correct or not.

Btw how many models have HTC made to date?

www.xda-developers.com had a thread with a link to HTC's official product roadmap. You'll have to search the forum - it was a sticky earlier.

THe MS Mobiles link said specificially that it was a rumour. Nobody knows for sure, and now we have news that HTC is actually going to make the new Treo smartphone which will sell for $200 and will feature either the Palm OS or Win Mobile 5 (optional).

The last mentioned news is official - its part of HTC's product lineup given to the GSM Organization.
