But how would the other person see it e.g. if you send a mail, etc. as he may not have the same font installed.

This is working in MS Office only

Thanks a lot for this font. We need to promote the use of our currency symbol instead of Rs. and INR but how to use it in Windows applications and web browsers as well? I have Windows 7 and this is working in MS Office only.

This is only a workaround solution only for people with the font.

The best solution is to wait for proper Unicode glyph for rupee symbol to be included in next unicode version, that'll be viewable across platforms without any manual font installation requirement. It'll be same as how €, ¥, £, etc. are viewable across platforms. Though the wait will be too long for this to be adopted on all platforms, and manual font sounds like the only working solution atm, other than images. Lol.

Moving people from custom fonts to using unicode glyphs has been a big hurdle in past.

(Grrrr.............. I am not able to attach the .ttf file. Will update mod for it)
Thanks. I just want to ask one thing, what will happen if I happen to send some docs or email using that symbol to someone who doesn't have that font. Will it show the symbol?

As far as my knowledge goes, if my tilde (`) is assigned to anything else, instead of rupee symbol, I will see something else. That's where unicode recognition comes into practise.

Thanks buddy for the link. Those having problems with the installation, drag and drop the downloaded file into the Fonts folder (Control Panel -> Fonts)
