Hi,

Limewire, Shareaza and Edonkey. I suggest sharaza coz it connects to all Gnutela1,2 and kazaa and it also supports http downloads and torrents too. Though none of them work good for me coz i m using Windows Vista.

It does not matter much on the p2p software, it matters on the torrent and tracker in case of bittorrent based ones and the servers you connect to in case of direct p2p
anyways I use azureus which is totally devoid of any spyware etc. this is if you use torrents. Otherwise for direct p2p I recommend phex and limewire.

azureus, limewire both work through firewall and proxy. All you need to do is open ports.

I prefer bittorrents. There are plenty of sites to find torrents. If you want quality indian MP3 and films then www.desitorrents.com is the place to find your torrents.

I depends on the type of firewall you have. You may have closed ports too. but your performance will suffer quite a bit
