Is it worth buying a blackberry 8520 just for the sake of using it as a remote for playbook?

It definitely makes sense to start using a Blackberry once you have a Playbook too. But dont buy it just for the remote, start using it as your phone, replacing the existing once.

That way you will able to use for everything including typing your mails and controlling the playbook connected to the TV, while watching a movie etc, more so for the business mail users.

Need you suggestion for a good VFM 7" Android tablet within the price range of 6K-8K.

Thanks.

This is for playbook users. I was contemplating buying one, but someone told me that all the apps for the playbook are charged. Is it so? How are you guys managing?

Any feedback on Child Pad?
Specs are ok for the price. Only grouse is resistive screen.

I bough a Veedee D10 after going through reviews on the net, seems to be a decent Tab Price Rs. 6790/- Still having some hands on experience using it, would update after using it for a week

Like any other Tablet OS, there are free apps available and others are charged.

For this kind of budget you guys should seriously consider the Ainol Novo7 Elf II tablet which is available for USD 149.99 from spemall dot com. It has a dual core Cortex A9 processor running at 1.5GHz and comes shod with 1 GB DDR3 RAM for all multi-tasking needs and 8GB of on-board space and support for extra thru microSD. The screen resolution is 1028x600 (so same as the one on Sammy Tab2). It is running ICS 4.0 out of the box. It is seriously better proposition than any other tablet out there in the same price range.

How is this even possible for a online store to offer discount which is just irresistible.

Just checked out timtara.com is giving Rs.4040 off on most things and Samsung Tab2 P3100 is Costing Rs.15950/- only ????

I am so confused now, was filling card details on flipkart, now with 4k shown as discount, I am so damn confused, Has anyone tried timtara here in past ?

however their mentioned shipping time of 10-15 days is real turn down and I am not going for that offer without being 200% sure.

Edit: just checked mouthshut, and looks like majority complaining about item wrongly delivered, So I am not going to fall for heavy discount and get a used TAB or wait months for a refunds...
Flipkart is the way to go now.

Thank you Josilcx for your suggestion. Have you had any buying experience from spemall dot com? How is their free shipping service? Between the Ainol Novo7 Elf II and Milagrow TabTop 7.4, which is a better buy?

sparkglow the Milagrow is not even in same league. Elf2 has dual core A9 based processor, Milagrow is much inferior A8 based single core. Elf2 has 1 GB RAM, twice of the Milagrow, Elf2's screen is better (1024x600 compared to 800x600 of the Milagrow). I would say Elf2 is in different class and is cheaper as well!!! Elf2's reviews are available on youtube.

spemall has a very good reputation. I have not bought from them yet but will get it soon. I just need to get the finances approved from the authority at home.

Thanks buddies placed order for Samsung Tab2 on flipkart today.
Flipkart certainly is little expensive but smooth as Silk, so no worries at all.
Expected by 10th June-12. this one is for parents, and if its smooth, I might buy another.

There were other tabs, and cheaper offers online, but frankly speaking I hate complaining and eating canned Answers, Like in reviews of other online stores,
until last year I Have been a web service provider for almost 10 years and never gave canned answers to my customers thats what made me survive in business, but due to poor health I had to sell off.

Got my Samsung Tab2 this morning.
It was very well packed and the tablet was indeed a sealed unit as always by flipkart.

Pros. of Samsung galaxy Tab 2 P3100:-

1). Ultra smooth dual core cpu
2). Good bright display.
3). Very smooth multi-tasking
4). Android ICS OS, is superb, been using froyo/cyanogen mod on phone and the new features are certainly very refined to give you super smooth operation and best android experience.
5). Samsung Tab2 was able to show Hindi text on facebook pages so it might be unicode compatible OS supporting Indian Languages(not 100% sure)
6). Supports voice/video calls.
7). Exclusive on screen button for screenshots, users NO longer need to root for ability of screenshots.
8). nice music player, however its not as loud as those ultra cheap phones from china, sounds very decent.
9). Acceptable Self photos on a video call using front camera
10). Nice 3MP primary camera, takes multiple shots instantly with no lag on multi tap.

Cons:
haven't found any, cause I've fallen in love with this Tab.

Its much better than those cheap tabs, where you need to insert a USB dongle to be able to use 3G, this in one monster tablet one could get on such decent budget price.

Will be ordering one more tab2 in a week, hunting for a buyer to Sell my Samsung Galaxy 3 phone.
