re: Pre-owned Mobile Phones? - Excellent Value Proposition?? well my take on this is: as long as you know the history of the phone and the source/person well, it a excellent value proposition.
but from places like grey market dealers and stores should be a strict no-no unless until you know them nicely. have come across many incidents in the past where even though the used phone had the bill and warranty, but the parts inside were found to be replaced or were affected by water and neatly covered up to work for a while.
generally from what i have seen in Hyderabad, used/refurbished phones don't last long. the trend here was to keep exchanging the phones the moment they showed any signs of trouble with newer or different models from the same or a diff dealer, that way avoiding any kind of expensive repairs.
