Which tires did you get with the car? I have bridgestone s322.

Yes, we got Bridgestones too. 155/60 R 13, IIRC.

Anything else that I should be looking for?

Okay good.

Nothing else as such , but does LT come with a digital tachometer inside the instrument cluster? Take a pic and post whenever possible.

Excellent Choice! 45k discount on the Spark has been there for a long time.
I bought the Spark PS in Dec 2010 for a flat 50K cash discount(Cost me 3 Lacs on Road)

Thats an awesome buy.
I went to look for a spark one and half years back. It was around 4L for the same model. Strange!

Congrats for your choice mate. :thumbs up

The spark in LT variant looks awesome with some good alloys. BTW do take care of the silver garnish on the center console and door pads, they are prone to scratches very easily.

I have Apollo Acceleres on My spark. All the reviews of the spark that i read online and in the magazines wrote the apollo as the OEM supplier. I suppose they have switched to the Bridgestones now.

Agree with KKG..The Silver-Aluminium finish gets scratched a lot. Had a similar finish in the honda city and it was completely scratched and spoilt by the time i had to sell the car

Hello Ajay,
I would also recommend you to extend your budget a bit if possible and opt for Brio E MT. Since it is a new car you will have a newer design and would fetch good resale value too. If you intend to keep it for a longer tenure ,Honda cars are generally considered to be trustworthy which would ensure peace of mind.
Spark would definitely be a nice choice if it was some time before. Now being an age old model it deserves a facelift and you would soon be facing the disadvantage of an older model when you plan for an upgrade.
If you did not have the disclaimer towards Maruti ,Alto K10 VXi or a Wagon R would have been a nicer choice.

Ajay Congrats on your purchase.

As a VFM deal nothing seems better than the Spark. Yep the Eon and the A-Star are more modern but still as a complete deal the Spark is a good option and hey it still looks good. It has in someways timeless looks, which I do prefer over the more edgy options in the market.

The Eon is a great alternative as well but to me a half segment smaller and an alto alternative while though the Spark is price priced similar it is a lot more car per car. :)

Thanks @agambhandari, @kkg and @ACM.

The loan application has been processed already with ICICI and the approval should come by Wednesday evening. Once the approval is there, we will make the down payment and the car will go to RTO on Thursday morning. I guess, if all goes well, we will take the delivery on Saturday.

Cheers!

Many many congratulations Ajay for your Chevy baby! Considering the maintenance package plus all the features available per price, this is one of the best offer possible. I have just one question for you, was the car color decided by you or was it a family decision? I ask this because generally I believe ladies prefer either white or bright colors. I came to this conclusion because when we were looking for our car, we saw different brands in different colors, and the moment my mother saw a blue Brio in the Honda showroom, all other options were deleted without saying a word, but considering all other practicalities we finally ended up buying a white one.

Does every car have to go to the RTO office? In ludhiana,i dont think it is done, we just get a temp. regn and everything is applied for by the dealer

Spark is a superb car and highly under rated, not the ideal car for a comparison with EON, EON may be better aesthetically but on refinement and performance it is Spark alone. I am sure you will have lots and lots of happy miles with this angel. The free maintenance package for 3 years is really worthy and i experienced no issues during my ownership, just ensure that you make use of this package. Congrats again on acquiring the angel.

Thanks Pranav. The color was infact an unanimous choice. Red looks worst on Spark and wife did not want any of the soft shades. So Sanddrift Grey it was. Actually, there was a decked up and sparkling Sanddrift grey standing in the showroom and that sealed the decision right away.

Thanks deehunk. You are right that EON is not really a competitor to Spark. But when I said competition, it was only in terms of price, not technically.

Update on delivery

The loan is sanctioned and we have been told to make down payment, which we will.

The following offer has been sealed and engraved on paper:
1) Mud flaps - FREE
2) All mats - FREE
3) Remote locking (5,800/-) - FREE
4) Door sill plates - 50% discount (800/-). These look fantastic.
5) Art leather seat covers - 20% discount (4,500/-)

Ajay,
what is the total value of benefits ?
I saw a newspaper ad with rs 50000 benefits on spark.

That 50,000/- benefit also includes a 22,000 exchange bonus, for which we are not eligible, since we are not selling any car. Except that, we got everything.
