Doing a last check if there's anything else I should be looking at. Automatic only, new car only.

Vitara Brezza and Ford Ecosport my friend.

All the variants of Jazz are well loaded. I am concerned only about the 110nm of torque. Right now I drive Liva diesel with 170nm torque, so want to know how it translates in real life situation.

Don’t worry about the torque difference, petrol cars are generally geared differently. Jazz doesn’t have the best performance, but isn’t lacking either. It’s adequate - the highlight of the car is the space and comfort it offers.

Don't compare a diesel with a petrol. CVT will mask the lack of low end torque well. Agreed you'll need some getting use to on two counts: Transition from diesel to petrol and manual to automatic. You'll be pleasantly surprised. Take a TD and decide.

"AT" is Automatic Transmission.. so there is no 3rd and 4th..

Automatic transmissions do have multiple gears. The AMT, DSG for instance have separate gears that change automatically.

I'm looking for an AMT. Planning the purchase in Feb 2021. Shortlisted options are:

a) Wagon R VXi 1.2 AMT

b) S-Presso Vxi Plus AMT

c) i20 Sportz 1.2 IVT

d) Tiago XZA Plus

e) Ignis Zeta 1.2 AMT

Having owned both Maruti and Tata cars, prefer to stay with one of them. Usage is expected to be within city limits and plan to keep the car for long term. Any recommendations on the drawbacks on above cars would be very helpful.

I started reading through the reviews and Wagon R and Tiago are top two in the list as of now. Very much open to change based on your expert opinions. Any new suggestions also welcome.

My choice would be 1.2 Suzuki petrol in Wagon R or Ignis.

I have been waiting to check the next gen celerio 1.2 AMT. I called up a Maruti showroom. To my surprise, they are clueless about the launch date and hinting next year. That leaves with the other 3 options. Santro AMT, Nios AMT and Ignis AMT. The main criteria is ease if driving and driver visibility. It will be used in city only. Two questions.
1. Among these 3, which is the best considering the above criteria?
2. Is celerio 1.2 worth waiting?. I am not impressed with the current gen's fit and finish and overall quality. Dont like s-presso either. No offence to the owners. Can we say, it will be way better than the previous gen model?
