Info needed on - Used Maruti Zen

Just one more thing did the pre 2000 LX have PS in them?

Zen VX And LX no PS. Zen Lxi & Vxi PS. Had a VX before getting the current mpfi. Also I think zens have EPS. Concluded that cause it does not require a change in PS fluid.
If you are thinking of modding might as well go in for the carb version. It looks cheeky in design and also gives you cheaper modding options. I felt the gear box in the older one was better too. It will be cheaper to buy as well.
The older zen had 145/70/R13 while the newer one has 145/80/R12. Happy shopping!

Hi fellow team-BHPians. I am new to this forum and i am also interested in buying an used Maruti Zen.

I got an offer of a used Zen.
2002 Zen VX MPFI
45000 kms run, single owner
he said it has power steering, but i dont know whether it is EPS or hydraulic.
very good condition.
place: Bangalore

he quoted 2.3 lacs.
I feel he is quoting too high.
Can you suggest me which price should i bargain?

There is some confusion about 99 VX having PS, mine is a 99 Nov Carb zen and it's got EPS and front power windows. I too am a little confused, I see some have EPS and some don't, I was told by the dealer that I bought the car from that it's rare to get a 99 VX with EPS.
