SWIFT Diesel servicing costs

Guys,

Regarding Diesel vehicles, I have a question - how often does a diesel vehicle have to be serviced?

They say that maintenance of a diesel vehicle is higher than that of a petrol one?

Is the frequency of svc-ing more than a Petrol car? how much is the approx. kharcha per servicing?

I wanted to compare between a SWIFT petrol and SWIFT diesel svcing costs. i thought that with the newer CRDe engines, it must be better (ie lesser svc-ing), is this info correct?

Rgds,
EMD

Well if u are comparing swift petrol and diesal then diesal will attract more money then petrol one.

If you travel daily for a long distance say 30km plus then diesal is ideal for you...

however new generation diesal engines are better on maintenance thurst as compared to earlier diesal engines.

Expect more revolutionary technology on this technology. Fuel efficiency also has improved in new generation diesal engine.

Swift diesal engine is a sucess as far as i know...

may be few swift diesal owners can share views on this.....

Well, I am not sure about Swift diesel maintenance costs but Tata maintenance costs are ultra low. My Indica completed its 4th free service after 2 years of its purchase. typically every 6 months/5000 kms it requires one service. Costs are around 1000 bucks approx minus labor (all free services till date). Paid service will cost another 600+ rupees in service charges. Typically oil and filter change is the recurring cost. costs around 1200 bucks in all.

Swift Diesel is not having any higher maintenance cost compared to it's petrol counterpart.

There are lots of threads pertaining to your query. Use the search option.
