afaik - anything above stage 1 on petes box requires some mods likes a greens filter and also will a diesel ever be able to sound like a petrol with ffe

i don't think so that diesel + ffe is possible - however i was trying to point to the fact that a diesel can't ever sound like an ffe'd petrol

guys if petrol car is the best for tuning joys, then we have seen some examples of turbo'd swift petrols
however has anyone heard of palio being turbo'd - anyone on the forum who has done it - i mean a 1.6 ltr 100bhp and u put a turbo and you can easily beat a pete'd getz crdi ?? right

a simple youtube search for "palio turbo" reveals lots of examples in other countries, wonder why it hasn't been tried in apna india

Mods possible on the Swift D with ABS

1. Pete's Box 90bhp/Remap(100bhp)
2. CAI/RAM air intake
3. Electronic boost controller with a marginal increase in boost pressure
4. bigger intercooler
5. suspension work worth 1.5 lakhs(I've TDed that car)
6. brakes pads from tarox
7. heat shield for intake
8. FFE maybe?

Impractical mods, but still possible.
9. Propane injection(theoretical)
10. limited slip differential (if you are filthy rich)

I'm not very technically oriented, but all of this I got from T BHP itself.

so you see, the swift D is not so bad.

where it wins is
driveability, reliability, and cheap fuel and handling
beat that petrol fan boys.

sounds good - i am guessing adding these mods is also possible on getz crdi then - imagine getting the getz crdi from 110 to 150bhp or more - add some suspension mods and disc brakes

most of them are possible on the getz CRDI
and i suppose a few suspension mods should improve the handling.
but the swift has ABS and is cheaper.

EDIT- actually all of them should be possible on the getz CRDI.

ram
Stage 1
An old alto lx. Replace the 800cc engine with the baleno engine and gearbox. Add sportier suspension, all 4 wheel disks and better rubber. Add a rollcage, and remove the rear seats.
Stage 2
Tweak the baleno engine with better headers, exhaust, sparks, increase compression
Stage 3
Add a turbocharger

Oh and please keep the alto looking like a standard lx, with maybe wider rubber, take to the expressway and watch some serious ego crushes

this is great project.I did actually think of this, and I might still do it.
but if its engine swaps you're after, then, the sky's the limit.
