Folks,
My friend has zeroed in on Swift VXi. Wanted to check with you what are the current offers on it? The dealer is giving just 2500 rs cash discount.

Cheers

With the kind of demand existing for that car, I don't think you will get any better than this. If you try, the dealer might throw in mats, idol etc

Even though I am digressing a bit, the ex-show room price of Swift VXI in Chennai is 4,39,476/- and Swift LDI is 4,74,208/-. With the anticipated phenomenal rise in petrol prices you may instead consider buying a Diesel Swift by paying Rs.35,000/- extra. In the process you get a more refined engine as the petrol swift uses the dated esteem engine and you get more VFM with diesel.

I know but its for his parents, and they wont drive everyday and lot of idle time is expected, thats why going for petrol...makes sense?

No offers currently on Swift, as far as memory goes. Take the 2500 cash discount and take the car before it goes into the hands of the next-in-waiting.

I dont think there are much offers on Swift VXI. When i had got mine last month i hardly got any offers. I had only got the Exchange Bonus Rs.10,000.

If it does not matter then I suggest you buy a second hand Wagon R.
It has the best ingress angle for older folks.

Second hand because the car might be on the way out and it does not make sense to take the depreciation hit.

Well, good to know that Swift is finalized. I too havent got any discounts. I too am offered 2.5k discount as a corporate discount. Rest all I have yet to get sorted with the dealer. Kinda know the dealer so surely will work something out with him. Just ask for free goodies and lets hope for the best !!

@ Madbullram-

Congratulations to you and your parents for choosing one of the most good looking cars of our generation which has of late put on weight at the wrong places. (If you "dzire" to find out the necessary details visit your nearest Maruti dealer)
