hey askulkarni,

i think greenhorn is looking for a fast small car and not a slow vibrating small truck.
the indica is good only when u see its FE .the performance is terrible.

When you talk performance, GTX is the key word. Hottest hatch which ruled indian roads! Rest are mere mortals.

I am very surprised you say this.

It meets all the points that greenhorn deems as important from his perspective and the V2 scores better than the others being considered on all of them. To top it off it also provides loads of space as compared to others.

Have 2 Indica V2s owned in close relations for more than a year or two and are very much trouble free. ASS is the only thing that is a bit of a negative but that is because they dont bend over backwards to please you; but, are good enough.

I guess the older Indica image is yet to wear off.

Well its getting confusing here...
here is his criteria:

1. Performance
2. Looks
3. VFM

So i guess askulkarni must be referring to PETROL INDICA V2 ... if that is the case, i would say yes it does meet all of the above points... but if its diesel indica he is talking about, than i think only last two points are met.

if its the DL version ur talking about then it qualifies only in the VFM category and maybe to some extent in the looks.
but if its the petrol indica, then i cannot comment on it as i have never driven it nor do any of my friends have it.
still.....,the indica looks odd in the performance-car group.

Indica is a performance car, ie the petrol one. Mileage. 10 in city and 14-15 on highway. And it handles like a dream. And its actually a two year car. After that i think its all rattle and hum. I own a 2.5 year old v2, so i know . If you are not bothered about resale and dont want to keep it for more than 3 years its okay. And stay far away from petrol indigo

ok i have a lead from True Value. Zen VX 2001, 42,000 kms for 2.35L. No other details known yet, but is it worth pursuing in first place? (Maximum i hope to get off is 2.20-2.25...)
