New car with AT options at 5L and under

Does anyone know what are the Automatic Transmission cars available in NEW at a price of 5 Lakh and under.

I was able to find just 3 so far.

1. Maruti Zen
2. Maruti Wagon R
3. Hyundai Santro xing

Anyone else know if there are anything available beyond those listed here.

Tx

I think if u strech u r budget a little bit u might just get a esteem AX not sure of its price but i am assuming its cheaper than the other sedan automatics. Out of the list u gave i think Santro automatic is the best to go with.

Whatever you buy, make sure it is a 4-speed auto and not 3-speed auto transmission. That makes a big difference.

Well there are no other AT cars in that budget and the Maruti models all have a 3 speed automatic and the santro is the only one with a 4 speed Auto.

I agree with Lambo Maruti AT cars are not worth... so the only option in your budget is Santro AT (i wished i could recommend a better car.. but its the only option for you)

I agree with NC. santro AT is a good car...especially with a 4 speed box while others are struggling with a 3 speed.

And Im Back!

the santro AT anytime.i think its got ABS as well.but i think the resale value for AT's in small cars is very poor.
you can also look at the old honda city AT,which should be available in your budget.
if budget is not a problem ,then i think the new honda city CVT is a very good buy.

Maruti still has autos but it has to be asked for and then built.
Unfortuneately, like all maruti cvars, it is an outdated 3 speed auto.

I second SS that if you don't mind 2nd hand then get the City AT but new one has to be a Santro. Its got no competition in the Bsegment AT.

Hey bornagain,

If you dont mind buying second hand Santro in good condition then PM Samurai he was talking about selling his some time back but dont know now.. Anyways Santro is the best AT and its brakes really dont require ABS since they hardly tend to lock up thats what i noticed recently.. but also i would like to advice you to take a back to back test drive of all of them and then zero on the best which suits your needs and budget..
