huh ?? alto and zen are similar sized vehicles,so they fair same in city conditions ..and performance wise alto 1.1 is faaaaaar better than the zen ..

and its lighter than the zen ...even with the 800 cc it not even close to being bulky or sluggish..

i love the old zen ...but performance and braking wise anyday the alto 1.1 is better ...infact i was very much surprised when i came back home this summer to drive the Alto ...we missed the 1.1 by like 1 month...anyways ...alto was surprisingly quick throught the gear..handling and braking was truely a step up man , much much better than the zen...

Zen for me...the old version. Love that machine.... the way it looked, the way it performed.. Alto 1.1 is good, but, the Zen gets above it when it comes to looks..

it is always zen for me. though alto is good zen looks very sophisticated, the old one specially. zen is a peppy little car and just suits right for any women driver.

so my vote goes to a zen.

zen cos its definitely more stable on higher speeds...and maybe cos u always have a option to plonk in a gb13 which is a direct fit ...and also i love the driving postion in the zen most...its also lower than the alto..zen all the way..cos i love my car.

Thinkin with the heart: Zen any day over any Alto, fine chasis and a sprited engine.
Thinkin with the head: Alto better than Zen, newer design & with a lil better crash protection.

Alto 1.1 engine is developed in India? Read that it is developed by adding an extra cylinder to the 796cc three cyl block.

Calculation seems to prove it:
796cc/3 = 265.33cc (each cyl)
265.33cc x 4(cyls in 1.1 engine) = 1061cc = 1.1 engine

I drove both Zen and Alto and I own a Zen. Zen is much easier to handle and pick up is very good. Alto is a decent car. But Zen rules.. ..

Earlier I had Alto 1.1 and now new Zen. I would prefer Alto 1.1 anytime over Zen.
Apart from new design and stuff I love the way Alto 1.1 responds to driver's moods

Zen any day....I have owned a zen for 3 years and did 50,000 kms on it including a lot of highway driving. I am sure I wouldnt have enjoyed driving an Alto as much as the zen.

The Zen looks far better and is comparatively more spacious I guess.

Chose a Zen over Alto last month when we bought a car for my younger brother.
