Volkswagen dealership count

Hi all,
I am doing some research on Volkswagen India and wanted to get information about the total number of dealers actively present in India currently ?
I searched a lot of forums and websites but its all varying in results. Wikipedia says there are 70 dealerships. Gaadi.com says there are 56 dealerships.
The official VW India website used to display the dealers on a map and was easy to count them then. But now they are showing city wise and much more difficult to add them all up together. Team-Bhp is the only other credible place where I could information.
I was wondering if any of you got some information for the same. Need some references as well. I want to know the total number of VW dealers currently active in India (excluding upcoming ones)
Any help would be highly grateful.

Hey very sorry for the very late reply.
This data was used for my research. Am applying for a VW dealership.
Any advice from your 'insider friend' or from your side would be highly helpful..
What criteria does VW look for.. money.. passion.. experience ??
