This pic was taken couple of days back.

Looks like catastrophic damage to these brand new cars. Is this a company stockyard or a dealer stockyard?

I pray they will not pass these off to unsuspecting customers. Unlikely given that there will be very visible damage to interiors.

Think it's the dealer stockyard. Reason why is because I used to see many new cars in front of Renault showroom when I pass it everyday. Last couple of days, they just have the TD vehicles. This might be the reason.

C'mon guys, it has been raining cats and dogs for 24+ hours continuously in Kochi. You do know that the whole airport was under water right?

But the most important thing is that the customers might never know this kind of abuse must have taken to their loved cars before they even bought it.

Very Sad! I always felt bad to see soo many cars left unattended in such huge godowns where they are subjected to heat, dust and now water and slush.

Any idea, what could be done to such lot? Like sell them @ discounted rates?

Sad to see such a huge deluge of cars getting affected, wasn't the dealer aware of this situation? End of the day common man will have to bear the brunt of this damage in the form of insurance. Poor Oversight.

If the water ingress is heavy I think it is a difficult proposition for the dealer to sell them. I wish and pray that they send them back to renault for necessary action. With the level of service provided by Renault, if the cabin smells after a few days, the customer will have a tough time in making it normal.

Any pictures or details of water ingress into the Dusters. It will give us an idea of the water wading capacity of the vehicle. The Brazilian version says 450mm but I doubt the Indian avatar will hold up with a single beading on the doors.

No pics of the interiors. But heard that water managed to seep in. Not a confirmed report though but people are having doubts regarding that.

Where is this stock yard located ?

Going by the top pictures, the interiors could have had a bad hit. All those cushions would have got soaked. These pictures are eye openenrs for the people planning to buy the vehicle from this particular dealer.

No car is sealed air tight. Water wading will keep the seepage out, because there is momentum and you are not stranded for long. In this case these vehicles are pretty much dipped in water.

How will the guy manage to get into the car without opening the door. Cant bring down the window for sure.

They will refurbish and sell it as new. A nice polish and the car will look as good as new.
