Re: Kia Seltos was damaged during service by KUN Kia, Ambattur | Caught on dashcam | Ended up resolv Hey everyone, I'm so sorry for not being able to reply to your messages and replies to my post! This got way more attention than I expected it to get.
I wanted to give you guys a quick update. I got a call from the service manager from KUN Kia this morning. He had been trying to reach me for a week, but unfortunately it looks like my phone number hadn't been updated in their system and he kept trying to reach out to the previous owner.
He told me that management at KUN had seen the post, and have been asking a lot of questions in the back end. He informed me that he had taken action immediately after the incident and the driver was suspended for 15 days according to him. He did note that when handling my case he prioritized getting the car fixed over the paperwork and bureaucracy to help get the situation handled as quickly as possible. Which explains why I wasn't really in the loop of what happened behind the scenes.
I appreciated that he helped out and got the car fixed as soon as possible, and mentioned that to him on the call as well.
He did request I delete the post, which I didn't agree to. He then asked if I can just remove the dash-cam video because he said the employees in it would find it difficult to get future work because of it. I don't agree with him on this, however he has been cordial and responsive throughout. Which has made me accept his request to remove just the dash cam video from this post. Since the involved parties were found out and reprimanded, there's no need to drag the matter out further. I'm only doing this because of the goodwill the service manager and advisors have garnered through this with me.
If anyone from KUN is reading this, please make sure you recognize the excellent service managers and advisers like Mr. Gaja & Kalai. As I mentioned even in my initial post, they were always communicative and clear. I never faced any issues because of them. Whatever issues I did face, were resolved by them.
As wheeledwanderer so eloquently put down: Quote:
Once bitten, twice shy! Before even trusting them again, try to figure out through SA what action was taken on the driver, watchman and his senior support driver and if they are still working there! If nothing was done, you do not want to go that way again!

Learning that there was action taken, and that KUN does monitor these matters from sources like Team-BHP, I will be continuing to do my servicing with them. |
