Hi Guys,

Any one knows of a good body shop in chennai?A two wheeler banged my i10 today morning on the way to work.

I do not want to step into a hyundai service center for this as they are quoting astronomical figures for the repair.

I will put up the pics later.

Please help.

Go to Electra Hyundai.
Contact Krupesh Patel : 9884049268

Tell him your requirements carefully. They're reasonable.

i don"t understand why people don't use the insurance

just a week ago a two wheeler scratched my front left bumper and the left fender.
i took it to the ford and claimed insurance the total amount was 5000rs and i had to pay only 500Inr and it took 3 days for service and body shop work.

the best thing is take it to the Hyundai and check out what the damage cost will be and claim insurance.

Bcos the law of average states in future u save.

See you claim insurance for everything, u loose on No Claim Bonus. I save almost 5000 rs in insurance through no claim bonus. If next 5 yrs I am carefull thats a 25K saving and assuming I will buy 9 lakhs car next year, I would be transferring my insurance, thereby saving almost 12K per year by No Claim Bonus.

The moment I do a claim, my No Claim becomes nil. So if my insurance is 24K, I get 12K discount bcos last 5 yrs I have not had an insurance claim. So anything above 15k I will claim, anything below that I will do it from my pocket so I save more at the end of the day.

General rule of thumb is if it works out more than 7-8K you claim insurance if not its better u get it done using your cash. The same body work always costs 50% when done outside instead of an authorized workshop.

The Body Shop was launched in India June 2005 and today has 22 stores in eight cities - Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Pune. The chain will also spread to Hyderabad and Chennai.
You can find more here.

What's your favourite product? I love their body butter and use some of their tea tree oil products.

Re: Body Shop In chennai

Bump!
My indica's underbody has serious rust issues, and while my neighbourhood garage has offered to fix them, I would rather have someone with experience on the chassis fix them. The TASC had quoted some 20K for replacing the whole part, while the FNG guys had quoted some 5K for some sort of hack job.

Any pointers would be appreciated
