Feedback required on Mahindra service in Hyderabad.

Hi all,
I have booked a logan and so was looking for some feedback on M&M service in Hyderabad - but surprisingly could not dig out any info. Can the Scorpio / Bolero / Logan owners of Hyderabad / Secunderabad put in some feedback about the after sales service based on your own personal experience or your friends / colleagues?
Thanx.

WHOA !!

4 days on TBHP and not a single reply !!

Looks like I'm going to inaugarate the TBHP - M&M relationship in Hyderabad.

Booked my Logan 1.4 glx few days back from Automotive Manufacturers and carried out the PDI (my own) today. Delivery is promised on Friday (24th).

So will keep the thread updated with my experience.

overall it's good. the service advisors and techinicians are overall good but sometimes tend to forget minor stuff and sometimes tend to overcharge. they have a huge workshop on the medchal highway apart from the one beside the showroom, check it out when you go to give your car for service, since they are also the dealers for audi and vw, u will see loads of yet to be delivered Q7's and passats as that is thier storage yard also, a treat for the eyes!

YES! YES! YES!
I have already experienced it.
I insisted on carrying out my own PDI at their stockyard @ kompally and after a lot of persuasion the sales exec finally agreed. So on our way to the stock yard we entered this jedimetla workshop to pick up the keys from the PDI section - which is towards the back of the workshop. And as we were moving on the road one black TT coupe rolled out of the shades on your left side, fresh after a full body wash - you can imagine the heavenly sight - A NEW BLACK TT FRESH AFTER A BATH with drops of water still rolling down her curves and sparkling under bright sunlight
What a feast it was for my eyes.

BTW, thanx a lot aadix for your feedback on their service part - it really gave me a lot of peace of mind. Switching over from a maruti, I was feeling slightly nervous about the service part - but your post came as a great relief. Ofcourse, I was not happy at all with MASS but the real advantage of maruti was the fact that I could get a very good neighbourhood mechanic - and that too a specialist in omni, which will not be possible with Logan.

i suppose they are the only dealers for Mahindra in hyderabad but with 2 or 3 showrooms. Monopoly is always dangerous - might lead to complacency.

@ Reboot

Initially I also pondered over this point for quite some time. As you said, they are the only dealer of M&M for the whole of AP along with their dealership of VW & Audi. For M&M they have got about 4-5 showrooms in the twin cities. And because of this I was almost sure of not getting any extra discounts and all. But then I was myself surprised pleasantly to see what competition can do for a customer. Just by pitting 3 of the showrooms against each other I could manage to get an extra 5 k discount + a free body cover over and above the free insurance which I believe is being offered by the company itself as a diwali offer. The reason behind the competition is that each showroom has got their independent sales targets. So the initial experience has been good so far.

Aadix, yeah, the comfort of a logan ride was one of the main factors influencing the final decision.

Had the 1st service today at their Autonagar (LB nagar) workshop. Overall experience is much better than my previous MASS experience. I am satisfied with their service.
The first thing that I liked was that it was not overcrowded at all, so the advisor is there to listen to you peacefully. Servicing was also prompt and on time.
And I was surprised when the service advisor told me that Logan does not need any oil change during the first service, it is basically only check-ups and fluid level top-ups. Oil change is scheduled at 10k km. But then I insisted on changing the oil and oil filter and he agreed.
The engine sounds smoother after the servicing - not sure whether it is just a psychological factor or it is actually so.
So far so good.

In retrospect, now it looks like I should not be too overwhelmed.

Aadix's view on their overcharging is right. They charged me 225/- for the oil filter, whereas the spare parts price list on the logan website shows the cost of oil filter as Rs. 92 only.

And today morning I also discovered 4 small spots on the doors where they have chipped off the top paint layer with some sharp edged tools - due to careless handling. Though the spots are very small and won't be visible normally but they should have been more careful.

If I am not replying to an old thread, M&M's Automotive service has been good to me tillnow. In fact service of thier team at Ranigunj workshop made me decide for my second scorp mHawk.

They have some dedicated Mechanics & supervisors who knows thier job inside out!!

But I also believe that the value your car gets anywhere is the value WE attach to it. If we take care and show that car needs to be taken care then 8 out of 10 times your car will be in good hands at service stations!
