Need a good mechanic/Independent garage for Palio 1.6 - Hyderabad

Hi,

I have been looking for a independent garage/mechanic for Palio 1.6. I have tried Mazda motors and Solar Automobiles but they are good for a regular jobs. I have tried the authorised service center and want to stay away from them as long as possible .

Now, does anybody knows a trusty and techincal person/garage to help me with my car?

Cheers

Hi,
Please ping me for the contact number of a good mechanic who should be able to service your palio 1.6 in Hyderabad.
I have had my Palio serviced by him in the past and he seems to be able to diagnose / resolves the problems very well.
Regards,
Amaan

Try Stag motors at Lower Tank Bund, I've been getting my Uno and Palio fixed by him.

Which is a good place to get Palio 1.9 D serviced in Hyderabad? All Tata service centres here are out of city.

Did you find one? I am looking for a good knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic as well who knows Fiats and its diesel engines.

BTW, any Hyderabad mechanics on T-BHP? Needless to say, if you are on T-BHP, then you got my trust.

After reading Raveendra's thread of his Palio GTX in http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...-2nd-hand.html, I PMed his and got the details of his trusty mechanic. I will have to contact him.

Srinivas's mobile number is 9848443769. You may also contact his brother Vaman on 9247289578. They work out of their own place in Gandhi Bhavan.

As much as I understand, Sreenivas is Ravvendra's long time mechanic who understands cars in general and is not a Fiat specialist per se. Ravvs himself got his car done at New Mars Auto in Moosapet.

Erm, if I be permitted, I shall speak for myself.

Srinivas and his brother Vaman (and their father before them) have been looking after cars that belong to me, my cousins and friends for decades now. Yes, they do understand cars very well, including Fiats. Similarly, Prabhu too understands cars very well. Both Srinivas and Prabhu are good at diagnosis and outling a course of corrective action to be taken.

Srinivas did most of the work on my Palio GTX. I went to Prabhu of New Mars as Prabhu was able to source some parts that Srinivas was unable to.

I am extremely happy with both Srinivas and Prabhu. In future I intend to use both for my cars. For all mechanical stuff i.e. engine, gearbox, suspension etc. - the car will first go to Srinivas. For all electronic and ECU related work as well as bodyshop and painting the cars will first go to Prabhu's New Mars. If the person I go to first is not able to do the work (and both are fair and frank enough to admit such things) the car will go to the other. If both are unable to do the required work - the car will go to Concorde or other Fiat A.S.C.

Srinivas and Vaman are a small outfit who give personalised attention. Prabhu's New Mars is a large modern workshop with all the latest gadgets and equipment. Each have their own role to play in maintaining and reparing cars.

As I have pointed out elsewhere, I have the benefit of not one but two good independent mechanics/workshops. They shall remain my first points of reference and I will be relying heavily on their diagnostic skills and general mechanical acumen.

Cheers,

P.S. PM me for the contact details of both.

Fiat service in Hyderabad

Guys,
Those of you who used to get their Unos / Sienas / Palios serviced at Anuroop, may remember the workshop in-charge - Parmeswaran Iyer and the service manager - Vijay Kumar. Well they both have started their own workshop at Taranaka - Digimani Automobiles. They have all company trained Fiat mechanics with them, as well as a Fiat engine analyser . They are sourcing spares from Fiat India directly. In fact while I was there a couple of days ago, they had just received a 1.6 lt. petrol engine from the factory for replacement in a Fiat Adventure.
Iyer's contact no. is 9000615456 and Vijay Kumar's 9676718960.

Trust this information is of help to all you Uno / Siena / Palio owners.
