To improve premium car showroom experiences

I have a question for all experienced BHPians and the moderator.

Let us say there is a huge LCD screen in a BMW car showroom which is showing a live video image of black colored BMW. But the customer wants to see how a silver BMW looks like.

Now the customer stands in front of the LCD screen and by waving at the LCD screen he is able to change the colors of the car on the screen. He can also change the seat colors.

Now the customer goes to a photo of the car and again with gestures he is able to see how diiferent styles of wheels look like, he is able to fit a spoiler to the image on the car and he basically tries out what he wants in a car on the screen through hand gestures.

Would this kind of experience be considered good by a customer? Would it add to the over all cutomer experience. Please reply. What could be the drawbacks?

Whats new? Several car websites already give you the option of viewing the model in different colours & with options (wheels, body kits etc.). Would be better for manufacturers to offer the same on their websites and leave a computer terminal (connected to that website section) in the showroom. This is easy implementation for all car manufacturers (not only the premium ones).

No need for hand gestures (difficult to implement). Everyone knows how to use a computer mouse / touch screen.

But Mod. I am talking of changing colors of a live image of a car and not that of an image.

Let us say that a camera is focussed on a black car and there is a live video feed onto an LCD screen. The customer now can change the color of the car which is being telecast on an LCD.

So the customer in real time can see how the car looks in different colors.
This way the showroom need to display every car model in every color.
