IFFCO-Tokio & ICICI Lombard offer cashless coverage to accident victims on 3 highways!

Nobody wishes for an accident, but unfortunately if one is a victim of an accident and that too on either the Delhi-Jaipur, Ranchi-Jamshedpur or Vadodara-Mumbai then help is on the way from the Road ministry.

Ministry for Road transport and Highways has tied up with Iffco Tokio and ICICI Lombard to provide cashless hospitalization cover for the road accident victims. The premium for the cover will be paid by the ministry. This will also include arranging ambulance to transport the victims to the nearest hospitals. The policy coverage will be for 150-200 kms. As of now the claim amount is capped at 30k rupees

ICICI will provide coverage on Delhi-Jaipur highway and Iffco will cover the Vadodara-Mumbai stretch.

This scheme is on pilot basis and if successful will be extended to other major highways nationally.

This is a good initiative taken by the government. Lets hope that the government "Babus" do not spoil one more good idea in implementation.
