Bajaj Alianz Car Insurance offer: is it a good offer

Hi,

I have a Sept 2003 Santro XS used car. When I bought this car, its insurance was with New India. Since it has come to end, I was thinkning of renewing it and Bajaj Allianz gave me the following offer.
Value of car: Rs. 218,000.
Premium: Rs. 9700.

Offer Cover includes:
Theft/accident (cover equal to value of car)
Driver cover (2 lakh)
All Passanger cover (2 lakh)
3rd party property damage (upto 7 lakh)
3rd party person cover.

For passenger cover, the agent said its 2 lakh. I forgot to ask him whether its for all the passengers (2 lakh each) or total 2 Lakh. I will ask him tomorrow when he comes to my place to see my car.

3rd party property damage includes 3rd party car, home, shop etc.

"There are no offers, no discounts, no extra charges and no hidden costs" he said . I am ok with that. Because everyone knows the head-ache, frustration behind the so-called offers and their "conditions apply" star marks.

Also, for the premium, he offered me 5 EMI on my Citibank credit card without any extra charges.

I am writing down few things which I want to have explained before I purchase this policy. Please let me know if its a good offer. Cheers !

have been with Bajaj for two years now (moved out from ICICI Lombard) and there are no issue. since maruti has a tie up with them, each time I claim insurance, i just pay the minimum.

7425 Rs seems be more than the word reasonable and you have got the full coverage .

this looks like money well spent.

congrats

Bajaj Allianz has been quite nice to deal with, and getting a claim from them was a rather pleasant experience for me. Others also on the forum have shared similar experiences. I am sure you would have good words about them as well.

Amya,
Bajaj Allianz is quite good these guys are quite prompt & quite good to deal with. Infact they still call to know whether I am satisfied with their service (I did a renewal in Sep 2007 for my car ) & you have got a good deal.
