Vinz .. go with Bajaj. My experience with them has been extremely good.
But this is with the Pune branch. If you wish I can speak to the Pune guys here and get a Bangalore quote for the Punto :)
Since I have contacts directly in the company, middlemen and commissions are eliminated and I get the best possible quote.

Thanks a lot.
Bajaj allianz quoted 13807/- for my punto Diesel E pack.
And Reliance quoted 12400/- with the same coverage.
It would be of great help if you can get me the same reliance quote for bajaj also. please ping me
I bought my Chevrolet U-VA 1.2 LS last year and the renewal is dues end of this month.
Lots of quotes and lots of calls.
I presently am with Royal Sundaram and am happy with them. I had a claim last year and everything was smooth.
So no NCB.
IDV value this year is 3,50,000
Royal Sundaram is quoting 9800 and so is TATA AIG.
TATA AIG is going over the roof with calls and offers and this includes a 5000 Rs voucher scratch card - either an ipod, a nokia phone or a holiday.
I am not comfortable with TATA AIG but they also are offering some free services etc etc.
The dealer has also suggested Royal Sundaram.
What should I stick to?

Go to the dealer and tell him you want to claim insurance for this can you do it?
There is one more point, is the suspension look damage from out side? if yes you can claim (As you can tell them that a stone had hit to the car from below) but if no then I am dough full since the loss is not visible from outside.

Since the difference is Rs. 1400/- I will advice you to show Bajaj people the quote which you have received from Reliance I am sure they will also come down but don't go with Reliance as they are very bad in claim's.

Staying happy with one insurance company after claim is a great thing you have received from that insurance company.;)
I will advise you not to change your insurance company.:thumbs up

Stick to the one with whom you are having good relationship. But the premium they are quoting you is on the higher side. The best quote should come around 8500/-

Thanks Rupesh for the reply.
No, there is no visible damage to the car. That means I can't claim insurance :Frustrati.

Vinz .. are all the policy features of reliance and bajaj same ?
I am a little skeptical about Reliance. They had given me a lower quote to beat Bajaj but then I realised that they had considered only 85% of the car value whereas Bajaj had taken 95% of the car value.
Bajaj gave me the following coverage
- Owner driver covered for 2 lacs
4 co-passengers covered for 1 lac each
Paid driver covered for 50k
Third party damage coverage of 7.5 lac
Unlimited third person liability
When I asked Tata AIG and Reliance for similar coverage .. their quotes shot up by 2k over bajaj lol:
One can only claim insurance for visible damage?
I find it hard to respond within the rules of the forum. :Frustrati

You can give it for trial to the service station.

The reason is insurance company can and may reject the claim saying that
1. Manufacturing defect.
2. Re-placed it with the good condition one.
In both the cases you can fight it with insurance company saying that if it is a manufacturing defect then it has to be covered under warranty or if it is replaced it with the good condition one then "we are not mad to do that kind of things.

I was very much clear in my first reply itself that he should go to the service center for the clear cut advice. I have never said that he will not get the claim.:D

I just get mad at some of the things I
hear about insurance in India!
In fact, my own experience... Maruti service guy asked me to fill up a form telling I collided with a bus one week prviously, invent rebounding onto something to explain the dents on the other side of the car --- and all would be fixed and paid for, no problem!
I'm too damned honest and wouldn't do it :Frustrati
Unfortunately in India we have to do something or the other wrong to get our rights from these insurance company, otherwise you believe me they are just here to see that how they cannot make the payment to the insured, even if he is right.
Trust me my friend I spend lot of time sitting with these insurance guy’s and I am telling you if any common men will see their approach will not take any insurance policy from them. Let it be any company, each and every company is here to see that how they can minimize their losses. – That’s it.
IDV Value = 615090
Insurance Quote = 12600 from bajaj... no ncb transfer.
Am i getting a good deal?
