I just got info from a trusted source that there is an Year End Sale on at Mahindra for VIN09 and VIN 10 vehicles.

Massive numbers of Scorpio 4WD AT available for immediate delivery. And discounts from 50k to IL. Only catch is most vehicles are BS-3.

This is a limited period offer valid till 28th April 2011.

Why would M&M have massive inventories of BS 3 vehicles? Is it a break down of their marketing network failing to translate into sales ?

Guess if there would be a rush for these BS 3 vehicles.

more importantly i dont think one can register BS3 any more in BLR.

MC: Could you please check if they have something similar at BLR. If yes am booking one today and now.

PS: I spoke to my SA in BLR and he is not aware of any such thing in BLR.

This is a stock clearing exercise and the vehicles are standing in the plant. The dealer staff won't know this. This is a limited period offer for only "Special People" and is not available for public ;) The scheme is available Pan-India and get in touch with the Local Area Office.

Process to bill the vehicle

* You can select the vehicle from the list provided in the attachment

* After selecting the vehicle of your choice, scheme application form to be sent (scan copy) to email IDs as mentioned below.

* Vehicle as per your requirement mentioned in the scheme application form will be blocked according to availability of vehicles (allocation is purely based on First come first serve )

* Vehicle Serial number will be provided by sales planning , via allotment letter.

* Book the vehicle by submitting the minimum booking amount as mentioned in the allotment letter(when issued).

* Send the Scanned copy of the Booking receipt to the email address mentioned below

* We will place the Order From HO for the vehicle

* After receiving confirmation from the AO on funds , we will bill the vehicle to dealer.

* Billed vehicle will be dispatched to the concerned dealership.

* We will send the intimation once the vehicle gets billed

* Dealership will give intimation once the vehicle reaches the dealership.


Terms & conditions

* Once vehicle booked cannot be returned/changed.

* Other taxes , transportation & registrations charges extra , as suggested by the dealership.

* Vehicle allocation purely based on First come first serve basis.

* Full amount to be deposited before delivery of vehicles .

* Allotment letter is mandatory to book the vehicle.

* Without booking allocation stands void.

IF confirmation not received within 5 days of allotment letter, your requirement is be considered Void.

* Please contact nearest dealership with regard to finance & current price

Even i got this news. The cars are 2009 and 2010 models. They were manufactured and were kept in the plant. These cars are brand new and do not have any problem. If anyone wants to buy one, go ahead they are perfect.The only problem is that they are Bs3. Even Bs4 were there but i believe all of them are sold.

very nice initiative indeed. good show. But am not in the market just now because I already have a BS3 vehicle and am not keen on buying another despite it being in a higher trim level. Nor am I too keen on registering the new 4WD AT vehicle in a BS3 location outside bangalore. Thanks anyway.

Sounds very tempting. The discount offered is also decent enough.
The only and probably the biggest catch is, all these vehicles are BS III. Would not be possible to get them registered in Metros and Tier 1 cities. What a shame! Would have loved to get a Scorpio AT at that price!

I think the vehicles manufactured before the BS4 came, can be registered in metros. Only the vehicles manufactured after the BS4 norms were in place can not be registered :)

Will the warranty be honoured? Even extended warranty?

What happens to a car which is stationary for two years?
