The New Suzuki Mini Mpv

Hi Everyone,

As you all might know that Suzuki is developing a new car which is code named YY-4, the car is expected to compete in with the Corolla, Octavia category. But what I have also read is somewhere is that it is a crossover between a hatchback and a SUV, so a Mini SUV.

I did know about the SX4 quite a while back but that was not meant to be for India (for now). But I found these spy pics , on a German website, of a car along with the spy pics of SX4 and the name of the car was something different.

Is this the cross over model to make it in to INDIA????

Thanks

Redcandle

And apparently, this is car is supposed to be the new car

But to me most of it looks like the SX4, but somethings indicate that it might be different..... WHAT DO YOU THINK??? is it the SX4?

Mini SUV??? to compete with Corolla and Octavia (C+ segment)???

I'm sure this will meet the same fate as Ford Fusion if they bring it to India.

Just by the looks of it, it looks more like a Hyundai Getz clone and will probably meet the same fate as Ford Fusion?

Why dont they just launch the Ignis in India. It has good ground clearance and would be well suited for use across India.

The car is similar to that of Fiat Stilo class....but i dont think indian customers will consider it when they will get Corolla or Octavia for same price ...in India ..the Bigger the car is..the costlier the car is...

Why ?

The designs of other Maruti/Suzuki do not exactly set the world on fire. Even cars like the Ford: Fiesta; Focus; Mondeo, Hyundai Accent etc do not make you look twice at them.

The Ignis is a good solid car and would be a good addition to the Maruti range in India.

New Pictures

Now that the car has been exposed off too the world at many motor shows and previews, I post a link to the final Suzuki SX4. I kinda like it and have a feeling it'll come to India in next couple of years.

Tell me something ppl... This is SX4. Period. What makes you think this is the car to take on the might of Hondas, Toyotas and Skodas in India? Maruti has merely stated its intent to have a project YY4 (or some such). Thats about it. What has SX4 got to do with that?

Now about this car... you know what? I think this is by far one of the best looking cars from Suzuki stable. IMO, even better looking than the current Swift... Ok ok... don't jump for my throat. Maybe its just me... but nonetheless I find it sexier looking than the swift

Price!!!

Got a SX4 brochure today in post from Suzuki UK.

The price is between £10,000 and £12,000.

Have also got all the engine and specifications. Please ask me if you need to know anything.
