I'm sure they're off on sunday, so i guess they were taking the cars to be parked there as they just arrived from HR.......or what? Maybe headed to a Dealership? Publicity?

I saw the Mahindra Commando (or whatever the jazzed up Bolero is called) today on Paud road. The pickup bed of that thing doesnt even qualify as a joke..It wont even take its own spare wheel. People are better off buying Boleros and then modifying them,IMHO.

Call For People Living In Delhi / NCR

Hey Everyone,

We all know that Maruti is coming up with the new Wagon R, and a completely new car. And Honda is readying its Civic as well. The factories for both the manufacturers are in the NCR and i request everyone in Delhi (if possible) or any members/guests to go and have a look at the factories and try and collect any clues about these new cars. Speacially in the case of Maruti, they park a lot of their new cars just inside the "mesh" boundary and are completely visible.

This would not anly educate us Bhpians to know a bit more about the cars coming to India but we will also be in a better position to inform any non-bhpians about these upcoming products.

If i was in Delhi (which i soon would be) I would certainly do it (as I am totally addicted to spy pics of cars and to know about them before anyone). The spy pics of the Aveo above (also the ones that i cant find) were taken by following the car for about three hours and after having an argument with the engineer in the car.

I wanted a clarification on something....Apart from masking on test cars, which is understandable, how come most test cars, even if they dont have any masking have this striped or checkered paint/stickering...does this help to hide the profile or is it a protective coating for the paint?? I think it only draws more attention to the car...just wondering.

True, it does make the car stand out, the masking is not protective coating, it's simply matte black vinyl squares on a white car, the chequered design is to mask the true lines of the test car, just like in an optical illusion the two contrasting colours distort the image!!!

Whereas with the following pic, Fiat has gone the whole to try and camoflague the lines of the palio by adding boxy thermocol peices covered in the matte black vinyl!!!
