Tifosi, any idea? Or is this an enhancement? |
It will come, at a later date. Currently on export models. The steering wheel will also incorporate cruise control unit so watch out for that as well.

Firstly, I have edited the title of this thread. The recent launch is by no means an "all new" Scorpio.
What I see are marginal improvements, which a manufacturer better do periodically in this day and age. Lets wait for a test drive to see how good the suspension tweaking job really is.

At least Mahindra prefers to call it All-New. They are learning from Maruti lol:

Cosmetically it looks delicious, now lets see how does she perform on the road ;)
Hey guys,
i read an article about the same in todays Business Standard Weekend.
They say that the ride and handling has improved quite a bit as have the brakes but it could still be a lot more confidence inspiring.
Here is the link -

looks are a highly subjective and individual issue I guess.
But personally, the Scorpio has always come across as a garishly designed automobile. They could lose that cladding / moulding that run the length of the car. The "agressive grill" ditto. There *are* ways to make an agressive design element pleasing to the eye as well. Check out the Dodge pickups for reference. But thank heavens they did away with that piddly rear light assembly. Can't comment on the new ones till I see them in the flesh of course, but anything has got to be better than the old ones.
am extremely interested in team-bhp pros' feedback/report on the new suspension-ed Scorpio.
yah.. i hope the new one is better.. the old one was bad.. i had one

Nothing Great, After All Mahendra will always remain Mahendra.
Not many changes, just to show the client there are few Body Changes but Technically i dont think there is much off a difference!
I'll say the only way to compare the new version with the old one is to ride it to believe it!
Hey.. has anyone of you noticed... they now have the 4WD version as well !

AFter the defective Mahindra tArmada hat those sobs sold us - causing broken legs and ribs all around, my dad not being able to work for a year - me and my mom using a crutch for months - all thanks to drum brakes and a steering which was faulty and just broke - i dont think we have any reason to be proud of these idiots.
If i had my way , I'd love to reaarange the facial features of the designers and anyone associated with the bloody armada.
and somehow the worst and most 'badtameez' drivers these days sem to be th eones with scorpios and a zillion fogs with a political party flag fluttering atop.....
Not that I hate all Mahindras - I quite like the army MM540/550's - might even buy one if i can find on ein good shape but the scorpio -(i have only driven the first generation one) is just old wine in a new bottle - it;s got all the fancy feature and halfway acceptable looks but on road it handles like a drunk cow. and most of them are 4x2's so the question of their off roading ability doesnt even arise.
Now if only Toyota can price the Fortuner within a Lakh of the scorpio...

p.s
it'll be 10 years this june 29th but i still hate those glorified wwii era truck makers
