I believe that on order means they still have some in stock before the production stopped.

I wouldnt be sure but I hope they keep selling the ikong 1.6 at a good price.

then ikon 1.6 can take on entry level sedan market while Fiesta takes on the proper c segment market.

Devarshi, all they need to keep stock is that 1.6 engine.
If someone orders a 1.6, they'll just fit the 1.6 engine to the flair's shell and deliver it. Is that complicated ??

I dont think it makes economic sense to keep the 1.6 in production just for special orders.

I have a feeling this car is currently in production and being sold in export markets. They will just sell some locally.

but that's not the point I am stressing on. What I am trying to say is ford should keep the 1.6 in production.

strip some of the features and position it in front of the big hatches.

You are absolutely right. Ford can get good numbers if they do so.

its not the fusions 1.6 engine I am talking about. Its the ikon 1.6 I am talking about. the 1.6 with 91bhp on tap.

IF ford can do it then I can pretty much imagine ford doing good numbers in India.

Good point.

But, it will eat into Fiesta's(1.4) sales and thats a nightmare for Ford who today don't care about the Ikon(since its already a success) but need Fiesta for bread-and-butter.

Thats the reason the 1.6 model was striked out at the first place.

I dont think so. Ikon 1.6 is for different class of people. those who are looking at fiesta 1.4 wouldnt look at ikon 1.6

except for those who think they are getting a bigger engine for the same price.
