• Over 2805 pieces of scrap material have been used to recreate this life size Beetle art piece.
• 800 spark plugs, 800 cold drink crowns, 200 bottle caps, 60 mother boards, Computer Key Boards, Hard Disks, CDs, audio cassettes, speakers, Barbecue Sticks, Beer cans, Telecom wires, Flat Screen Monitor, Pens, Type writers, etc. have been used.
• The scrap pieces used to build the car were collected from various Think Blue clean-up drives undertaken by Volkswagen at different locations.
• This art piece, will be displayed at the Kala Ghoda festival, Mumbai from 4th- 12th February 2012
• Post the Kala Ghoda festival, this beauty will be sent to Germany to be displayed at the art museum there.

(If I am not wrong, this is the same car that is currently displayed on the island where the Mahim Causeway meets the Western Express Highway. Members please confirm.)

Haha... i like the 6x9 speaker grilles as headlights. No idea why they added that horn on the outside though!

I've driven past this a few times at night but couldn't figure out what it was made of! (Lego was my best guess).

Wow this looks cool, this really make people buy into the Think Blue idea for Go green initiatives at VW group.

Did VW created this on their own or got someone else to do it for them, also any idea if this is fully functional. Googled it and found the news link but it does not talk about if this is functional.
