Re: Pics & Report : Mercedes B-Class unveiled @ Buddh

So I am trying to get a perspective on this.

In the late 90s the E-class used to cost between 20-25L and now the B-class costs the same. The E costs double.

In the late 90s a Honda City used to cost 8-10L and it still costs the same !!!

Re: Pics & Report : Mercedes B-Class unveiled @ Buddh

May not be the right question before launch but still wanted to ask.

What do you guys feel - How much would the B Class depreciate in 3-4 years (Petrol Model).

I love this vehicle, but cannot afford first hand. I would look to buying this in second hand maybe. Petrol will be close to 175/- per litre around 4 years from now. I feel we should get a good deal @ 12 lacs. Thoughts.

Confused if i should post in the used car price check thread, but posting here as B-Class is yet to be launched.

Thumb rule: All cars depreciate to half their value in 5 years. I believe this ratio is slightly more in expensive vehicles (i.e. they are likely to loose more of their value).
