Re: The Mercedes Salesman, his iPad and the iSales App

This is an awesome app. Have seen it. Very interactive. Gives you all the info you need about cars. Also explains the various technologies through videos. Easy to understand. Brilliant stuff.

This is just superb. Looks like most stuff however small would be sold using an Ipad.

Re: The Mercedes Salesman, his iPad and the iSales App

When salesmen of Pharma, FMCG, FMCD, paint companies etc are roaming around with tabs MB surely needs at least an iPad.

While iPad and the iSalesApp might look visually appealing while making a presentation, but it will not play a huge role in influencing the buying decision, since most of the customers of these brands have either been in such cars before buying them, or their friends have them and will surely insist on bringing the car itself for a TD to their homes and to look at it

It would be better if the salesman left a good booklet for a lasting impression long after the car and the Ipad has gone back.

Don't know about MB, but I was impressed by Audi booklets which are a good 40-60 pages thick, while BMW have only pamphlets which are just about 5-6 pages.

I am sure you meant this in a positive way, as some of the industries/companies you have mentioned, are larger than MB.

As long as it is convenient both for sales and the customer, it makes sense to give much information in a trendy way.

Also, this approach work for concept selling and majorly not provide a lift for product selling. As, we would want to feel/see/touch the product before we make a buying decision.

The customer these days are so well informed. Right from buying a pin to a piano they know more than the person selling it in some cases.

It is the need of the hour for the salesman to be better informed and give more information about the product.

The Ipad is good way to start.
