Petrol--Rs 18.9 (Malaysia) / Rs 34 (Pakistan)!!

I got a mail recently that spoke of how petrol was available at what seemed like ridiculous prices in countries like Malaysia and even Pakistan. Thought it was a stupid chain mail, but some basic Googling shocked me--it's TRUE!!!

Looks like our government is taking us for a massive ride with sob stories about rising crude prices, et al!

Here's the proof:

In the UK the price of diesel depending on the petrol station varies between about 95p a litre and £1.00 a litre. That is betwen 78RS and 83RS a litre.

I'd be happy if someone had some solid info on petrol prices in Pakistan. Incidentally, this article says: [FONT=Verdana][SIZE=2]" Comparing the POL prices in the country with India, the official said the petrol was cheap by 20 to 35 per cent in Pakistan."

Is 20-35 percent a small figure??!!!

If petrol is so cheap in Pakistan, there must be some racket who import petrol from Pakistan and sell in India. I'm sure I'm not thinking it first
