From the looks of it, doesn't look like the facelift. The hexagonal grill also appears to be similar. May be a new engine upgrade or anniversary edition types. But why the heavy camouflage is what I fail understand.
If am not wrong, it is the new A3 sedan doing the rounds and is a good scoop.
And the logos on the cover indicates this maybe a publicity exercise than actual testing.
Edit - Oops.. my bad. Just right now zoomed on the lights when @Amarendranath pointed out and this looks like the A4 indeed.
But that baffled more. why would they camouflage an already selling car and do this publicity run.
Well, a couple of years ago, I had a similar shots of an Audi car which I had thought of posting on TBHP and also mailed to ACI. ACI replied that this is a car from stockyard being transported to dealer for delivery.
Seems to be similar case. The radiator grille has very few slots for letting air in, the cover clearly mentions Audi which most probably cannot be the case for a car under testing.
Isn't that the outgoing model A4? Can't make out any change in design from what ever is visible. Could be protective wrap for transporting prior delivery or something as mentioned above.
With the 3er followed by the C class having their new generation models developed already, A4 should be done with face lifts and awaiting a whole new generation I guess. However This could not be that.
Its an A4 base model on the way to a dealer showroom. Audi transports its cars packed in this fashion.
Also A4 already has the S line models ,so I'm wondering what can this be. Cannot be another base model. But that's definitely the current generation A4
Edit:
Found this on google

May be there are testing this new model. The LED's may be a dubious act? Also in the above link expect for the slight change in the headlamps everything else seems to be exactly the same. Intriguing.
I'd be surprised if this is the facelift. This looks exactly like the current model. I like the design and will be happy if they don't change it, but I'd be surprised :).

I was at the same place when you caught this buddy, i remember one q3 was also following this audi with the same white cover. These are the customers cars before delivery. I have seen them many times before.

That's more like it, makes sense. I have seen cars wrapped this way in the godown's but never knew they were driven under wraps. A regal way to protect the customers car.
This is definitely protective wrapping on the car, and not camu disguising a facelift.
That's a very good way to protect the customers car. More than protective wrapping, it would give the customer the feeling of gift wrapping - especially the part above the drivers door which looks like a bow.
Is this legal? There should be a TC plate on the car, isn't it?

The cars are not supposed to be driven with the wraps. The wraps are supposed to be when transporting in the trailer, when unloading from trailer and finally when parked in dealer stockyard. They are not supposed to be driven.
If you see even front grill is blocked with only few holes for unloading, loading from trailer.
Maybe the dealer stockyard was very close to the place where truck unloads and they are driving it for a short distance.
seems to be the current A4 give aways are the DRLs and the brake lights, most probably it is the base celebration edition, judging from the alloys and also I couldn't see a sunroof on it.
