All vehicles to have an expiry date soon!

Would be great if they try this on commercial vehicles. Their heavy use often leads to higher pollution due to improper maintenance. So, let's start with the government run buses. Then the various departments' vehicles, especially the poor Jeeps running around police stations. Finally, the lorries, water tankers and load tempos owned by certain folks. If all that works, you can try to pry my 40 year old Amby from my dead hands.

This is just horsedoo and I hope someone gets to the right side of this and stops this from cartwheeling into the law books.

Re: All vehicles to have an expiry date soon!

In India the best practices of developed world is copied and implimented. Abroad when one buys or sells a used vehicle, it is a simple process but also involves a safety and emission test of the vehicle. This test is calibrated as per model and age of vehicle. Age is just a number, and the vehicle can only be registered to a new owner after passing the safety and emission test.

In India as well used car sales involve PUC, but implimentation of it is weak.
