I can see that this thread was posted in sept 2006. I am now wondering why no one spotted these beauties on road.

Is there a catch involved ?

Can anyone throw some light on it ?

The Scorpio CEO looks good though I guess it would difficult to get in with the rear seat further back.

This is a question about Mahindra classic.

Couple of years back i wanted to buy one but i was disappointed when i sat inside, i could hardly fit my legs inside let alone enjoy a comfortable long ride with plenty of room. I am 6ft tall and thats not very tall by any standards, i guess people in US and Europe would have more problems than me, I was wondering if the Classic owners here could enlightens me on this very nagging issue. Can i find more leg room and have a comfortable ride in a Classic? Is there anyway to push the seat further back?

Correct, the Classic front seats are a squeeze. My Jeep has had its wheel arch altered, so that the seat can be made to go back further than stock. This modification has added 2 - 3 inches of legroom.

I had written to the folks at JS Nanda about the scorpio first.
Quote:
The total cost of the Scorpio First Concept is Rs. 6,50,000/-. This is in addition to the cost of vehicle.
The order flow would be as follows:
  • Customer registers the Scorpio SLX from the Local Dealership
  • Customer would pay a DD favoring M/s. NBS International Ltd, Mumbai. This needs to be sent to us at: J.S. Nanda, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Automotive Sector, 2nd Floor, Mahindra Towers, Worli, Mumbai - 18
  • Post registration the vehicle is sent to Mahindra Towers, Worli, Mumbai for the Customization
  • Post Customization, the Scorpio First will be sent back to the AO for final delivery to the Customer

Those Amber identification lamps on the hood. Aren't they illegal in India? I thought we are not allowed to put any form of lights on the top of the hood.

The website no longer has Bolero. Any body knows if Mahindra had stopped customizing Bolero.
