Maruti-Suzuki India's former Vice-President Sales (Commercial, Pre-Owned and Rural & Institutional), Mr. SN Burman, has resigned from his position and moved to Tata Motors to a position of similar capacity - Vice-President of Sales & Network.

He will be reporting directly to Mayank Pareek, President, passenger vehicle business, Tata Motors.

Burman has served 23+ years at Maruti Suzuki India. In his last assignment with Maruti Suzuki, he held important portfolios as VP-Sales for commercial channel, Pre-Owned car business and rural and institutional sales.

This is the second high profile movement from Maruti to Tata Motors after Mayank Pareek quit Maruti Suzuki after an over two-decade stint last year.

In another change, Sheel Sagar is appointed as Head Sales - North & East and Amit Kamat as Head Sales - South & West in addition to his current responsibilities at Head Sales Support and S&OP.

New Delhi: SN Burman, Vice President (Sales, Marketing & Service-Passenger vehicles) at Tata Motors has resigned from his position, source close to the development told ETAuto.

SN Burman, a Maruti Suzuki veteran had joined Indian automobile major Tata Motors in 2015. He was reporting to Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors. Mayank Pareek, President PVBU will assume direct charge of PVBU Sales and Marketing function until further notice.
