Is this because of any other component or only GST?

In Bangalore, City ZX sees a reduction of around 30k only.

True that.
We were planning to get a Brio and the VX variant's ex-showroom has gotten around 18K cheaper.

Octroi, which was applicable for Mumbai is redundant on account of GST, which is why the correction must have happened to a higher proportion compared to Bangalore.

P.S. I have taken a hit of 1.81K towards my purchase of CVT BRV and ZX City:D

Yup. Octroi is a major component that has reduced in Mumbai. WR-V S Petrol which was 8.20L before GST is now 7.74L after GST

Ford has also announced price drop upto 4.5%.

Mumbai gets the biggest cut of Rs 3 lakh is on Endeavour, Rs 28K on Figo due to abolition of LBT (Octroi).

Automaker Ford India has decided to reduce vehicle prices by up to 4.5 per cent with immediate effect to pass on the GST benefit to the customers.

While the reduction in prices will vary from state to state, the highest cut will be in Mumbai with the company's flagship SUV Endeavour becoming cheaper by up to Rs 3 lakh.

But why should the prices vary from state to state? What are the other states charging extra when compared to Delhi? For instance, the prices of Honda City are 22k more in Chennai than that of Delhi. Similarly Baleno pricing in Chennai is more than 12k than in Delhi. If all states are levying the same tax rates pan India, how can there be such drastic difference in price?

I believe it is due to transportation/handling charges that are charged by the manufacturer and vary based on distance from their factory.

If this is true, Bangalore should be having least ex-showroom prices for Toyota vehicles. Toyota factory is in Bangalore. But per Toyota website Bangalore price is higher than Delhi

Hyundai Creta prices
Mumbai
Petrol - Hyundai Creta SX+ - 11.19lacs
Petrol - Hyundai Creta SX+ AT - 12.15lacs
Diesel - Hyundai Creta SX+ - 12.64lacs
Diesel - Hyundai Creta SX(O) - 13.64lacs

Delhi
Petrol - Hyundai Creta SX+ - 10.99lacs
Petrol - Hyundai Creta SX+ AT - 11.95lacs
Diesel - Hyundai Creta SX+ - 12.43lacs
Diesel - Hyundai Creta SX(O) - 13.40lacs

Heard from a TATA motors person that the Hexa would see a 1.7 Lakh bucks price cut (forgot to ask if its ex showroom or on road price). Either ways the new prices will be out on Wednesday.

Other cars from Tata Stable may not see much change (they are reducing and jacking it back up again) primarily for Tiago and Tigor.

The reason why we are not seeing uniform price is because of this:
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/b...w/59416705.cms
"The government does not intend to use the "hammer" immediately to pull down prices, leaving it to market forces to guide companies to pass on the benefits of goods and services tax+ (GST) to consumers".

Looks like there is no monitoring on anti-profiteering. It is upto manufacturers to decide on pricing. I would not be surprised if some manufacturers increase price in a month or two.

My local Hyundai Dealer hasn't been updated with the prices yet. Even Hyundai has not updated the prices on their website yet. Can you please state the source of these prices? please:

That's a nice cut on Creta due to 1.6 lit engine and 190 ground clearance. Wonder when they'll launch the facelift?
