Volkswagen India launches 'Refer a Friend' program

In an attempt to revive falling sales, Volkswagen India has launched a 'Refer a friend' program. Any Volkswagen owner can refer a friend/family member to buy a Volkswagen car and if the person goes through with the buy, the referrer wins an assured service voucher for Rs 7500 and/or an chance to win one of the gifts below. Program runs till Feb 28th and the referred person must purchase within 15 days from the end of the program.

How it works?

You submit your personal details and Volkswagen car details.
You enter details of the person you want to refer.
VW representatives contact your reference to take things further.
You enjoy the benefit of their purchase.

While I don't think this will result in any sales increase, probably a good opportunity for existing VW owners who know family/friends contemplating to buy VW car to get benefited. A Rs7500 voucher can cover 75% of a service cost at least. Had just booked at GT TSI for my sister in law. Will be checking if this offer can be leveraged. (Edit: From Terms and Conditions: "Any Referred who has already done the booking for any Volkswagen vehicle before such referral shall be excluded from the program" :( )
