On the other hand I don't see Perforated leather on seat which should be ideal for our hot weather conditions
Also can someone present at event can confirm if second row seats come with seat-belt adjustments?
19 inch wheels are confirmed but does anyone know which Tires Tata is planning to put on Hexa??
The production ready version looks really good.
In India, one thing that people who want a SUV expect is road presence-and Hexa will definitely make people give way. I don't know why people are comparing this to the Aria-which is a beautiful car but nowhere as aggressive as this one.
Will I buy one if I needed a car? Perhaps. But after 6 months.
I've seen what TASS does with the first generation models-they help you sort the niggles out initially-and then they tell you to upgrade to the 'latest version' after 2 years. Hopefully this time would be different.
But this is definitely a segment defining product. If Tata can offer this car below 15L, I really wonder what else, except badge value, the other manufacturers are offering in their premium products.
A sunroof would have been nice. I don't know why they skipped on this. It is not a useful feature, but looks good and gives people a novelty to play with and keeps them interested.
Yes, test drive just started
The above picture of the Hexa's lined up side by side reminds me of a similar picture that came out around the mid nineties I think, of a lot of Safaris parked in a similar fashion inside the Tata Motors plant. And the Safari looked extremely handsome for its time ( and maybe even now ).

That should be considered as a plus because IIRC, reviews were quite positive about it. Besides, it's not as if you wont be sure you are driving a Hexa or a Zest. There will be enough factors screaming that you are in a Hexa! For e.g the commanding view.
Few more shots. Rear unmistakably looks like a van, but from all other angles, looks good.
Comes fitted with MRF tyres.
All pics from Twitter.
Looking at the pics seems the event is happening at the Novotel Shamshabad (inside airport). I am so tempted to drive and check the Hexa in flesh :)
The interiors look really luxurious, and the seats scream "let me keep you comfortable dear passenger".
The dash could have been more curvy but nevertheless very good attempt from Tata. Let's see how the product fares.
Looks very very good indeed. clap: Especially that interior. Desirable interiors are becoming a forte of Tata cars. Keep it up!
Wonder why Tata didn't bother to mix the colours for the media drives though. Hexa looks great in Black and Grey, but its good to have different publications put up photos of the car in different shades to go along with the review.

Tyres are MRF Wanderers.
Lots of pics from the media drive on Twitter -

There is an embargo on sharing any opinion till 21st, but the vibe is
POSITIVE.
1. That rear is very well done - best rendering of what one can do with a rectangular slab
2. Lot of parts sharing across the range from Bolt to Hexa - I don't think this is bad becaus the party quality is very good even in the Bolt by segment standards. I think the Hexa probably might have a better texture ( which is not visible from the pics ). The small buttons below the touch screen, indicator stalks, steering buttons, headlight switch are all examples
3. Will be good to see the middle and 3rd rows. Especially curious about how the seats tumble down and does it leave a flat surface for one to lie down ?
4. Alloys - not to my liking. Tyres - presume 235 section - but this baby needs atleast 1 size up. Definitely looks under-tyred
btw - what is that small perforated opening right next to the rev counter outside the binnacle ? is that a speaker ?

Most probably the microphone.
For Bluetooth Telephony and voice commands.
Rather than place in the roof liner it seems to be incorporated in a new place.
From what I have seen from the interior pictures of seating, I feel Tata Motors have done excellent job.

Perforated leather seats are present.

Nope.
Confirmation - the AT doesn't come with Tata's Multi Drive modes.
While the manual surely does.
A couple of lovely morning shots.
