First time I saw the rear in the photos, the immediate thought I got was the S-Cross. Yes, nowadays most cars seem to have the tail lamps that look similar.
On a low end car (such as a Kwid?) they want to bring in some features from 10L rupee cars to attract customers. Not sure why the 25L rupee cars trying to provide the design & interiors similar to that of 10L cars.
If the cars of this price have to survive, they need to be really cost effective, at least in our market. After all, Nissan is no Mercedes to buy for brand value.
The Nissan X-Trail :Shockked: to see the All New Avatar from Nissan. Where has the edgy design gone ? Though looks inviting and not contemporary as before :
What is the status of the X-Trail? Is it still due for a year end launch in India? I feel by the time Nissan gets it here, it would have become outdated in rest of the world.

Interior shot shows 7 seats. But I wonder how they could have managed with the battery itself probably taking so much space.

The SUV comes equipped with the 2.0-litre MR20DD petrol engine twinned with an advanced 31kw electric motor.
Intelligent Dual Clutch Control is Nissan’s original, highly efficient hybrid system that drives the wheels and regenerates electricity by using one motor.
With one of the two clutches completely separating the motor from the engine, the system enables EV mode driving in high-speed situations with highly efficient energy regeneration.

I saw the web site as well and was about to post the link :). At this time of diesel ban and height of pollution problem, this is a very significant car for those who are looking to buy an SUV. Hope it is priced around the likes of Santa Fe and not 50 lakh or something.
What ever happened to the X Trail launch in India? Wasn't this expected 2 years back.
Good thing I stopped waiting for this and bought the Lodgy
i dont know when Nissan will understand that we are a VFM market for large SUVs and for an average Indian the best Nissan was the Jonga. Now i know the current Patrol is a monstrous fully loaded top of the line model but even the last generation with less bells and whistles would make a killing here.
