Very well said. That is exactly my thought about MS Swift 2018.:thumbs up
A new car is a lot more than just a new set of wheels. It is something with which you will associate beautiful memories. Congratulations.
In Swift's website, one can't see the difference between a ZXi and a ZXi+, any other medium to know the [feature] wise difference between both?

Try the PDF brochure.
Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) has today started export of the all-new Swift produced at Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited (SMG), SMC’s 100% subsidiary to produce automobiles in India.
Quote:
Production of the all-new Swift started at SMG in January 2018. It was shipped from Mumbai Port to South Africa, with Maruti Suzuki as its merchant exporter.

This is the first time an SMG model is being exported. The number of destinations will be expanded. Through this SMC will support “Make in India” initiatives by the Government of India.

So finally booked Swift ZXI AMT Silky Silver for my wife. Initially booked VXI AMT but then after going through features list in depth realized that by paying just 70K more we were getting many features, which in long run helps in selling the car (5 years down the line those extra features would be mandate ones).
The only thing i was missing in ZXI was center arm rest. Has anyone installed it in his/her new swift? If so, where can i get one?

Congratulations on your booking!
About the centre arm rest:
One of my friends got the armrest installed in his Baleno over the weekend from Maruti service station.
It costed him Rs. 2200/-.
I believe the one for Swift should also in the similar range range.
Any news about when Swift will come with ZXI+ AMT variant? also what would be its cost?

Not for the next 9 months as maruti is busy clearing backlog of orders they have for the normal models, plus they'll take a baleno type approach and thus it will come late.
Regarding price, add the difference between zxi manual and AMT version to the price of a zxi+.That would be the ex showroom price.
@dhruvritzed: is that what the new waiting period is? :Shockked: (actually not surprised)
the demand is phenomenal. I've started seeing many more swift on the road here in Chennai
Instrument Cluster of my 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander vs our new addition 2018 Swift

Thanks. So my assessment was correct during the test drive. The speedometer and tachometer are marked in such a way that they are not in their usual positions compared to other cars. For e.g. 120kmph is usually after the 12o clock position in other cars whereas in the new swift it's marked much before. The same holds true for the tachometer as well if we look at it.
Drove behind an orange 2018 Swift Z+ version, looked like a diesel but can't confirm as it was late night I kept moving all around the car on the highway, left, right, behind, in the front to check it out from the front and I must say it looks absolutely smashing.
The stance of such a wide and comparatively lower than the old Swift gives it such a sports hatchbackish look from the rear. An Innova was driving alongside the Swift for some seconds and the Swift looked wider than the Innova.
Also, the tail lights, they are an absolute delight. Whoever is on the fence about buying a Swift Diesel or an I20 etc, don't just check it out on the showroom, follow one on the road, it will definitely be love at first sight and help you make that decision!
Got my ZXi+. Tires are alnac 4G.
A nice change from the Scorpio S10 4WD I drive.
Sorry for repeating my question regarding low GC on Swift. Since there are multiple new Swift owners now, it would be great to hear if they encountered any low GC related issues after becoming proud owners. I am planning for a new car and Swift it also there in the list.

Congrats Sheel. Looks amazing.
Is this Silky Silver? Also how are the tyres in terms of ride and handling? Does it need an upgrade to better tyres? Do you know if these are the same ones available in ZXI too?
