Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has issued a recall for an unspecified number of it's new-gen Scorpio and NuvoSport SUVs, manufactured till June 2016, for a faulty fluid hose.

The inspection of the said vehicles and the rectification/replacement of the faulty part will be carried free of charge, according to company officials. Customers will be contacted individually by the company.

re: Mahindra recalls Scorpio & NuvoSport for faulty fluid hose

Which "fluid hose" are they talking about?

Request one of the new owners to check this link and post more details about the recall.

From my XUV experience, Mahindras have a tendency to "underplay" faulty parts which are part of a recall and their possible impact.

Example - XUV early batches. There were multiple incidents reported of power-steering failure. Just imagine, complete failure of power-steering at highway speeds means inability to steer the vehicle and could lead to a major accident. The issues were traced back to a "high pressure hose in power steering assembly". The particular part carries pressurized power-steering fluid and was prone to leakage eventually resulting into complete power-steering failure. The recall innocently said "a fluid hose" and IIRC did not bother to mention that it can lead to complete power-steering failure and serious accidents.

It appears that my Scorpio S10 4WD is part of the recall. Once availability of the part is determined, will get it replaced.

Can you please post the exact details from the service action page?

The ASC says, its the brake pipe/hose. If leakage or tolerance not to level found, then a replacement, else 2 brackets would be added. But the website shows otherwise.

Oops, I didn't comprehend the message properly. It is for a fluid hose and not necessarily has to do something with fuel lines.

This time around, it has to do something with brake hose and or its component/s.
